Now, I really like Clooney in Up in the Air and like Firth in A Single Man (I haven't seen Invictus), but I think Rockwell in Moon is a more impressive performance than both of those. I really like Jenkins in The Visitor, too, and if that got a marketing push then the people that handled Moon and The Informant! missed out on cashing in on Rockwell and Damon's excellent work (that is, if they didn't take out FYC ads or send out screeners; I haven't browsed through, say, Variety, and personally don't know anyone who gets screeners).

As for the film, I liked the final half hour and, while I'm not usually one who thinks in terms of prescriptive criticism, the film would've been much stronger to me as a 40-odd minute short. Overall, I'm indifferent.
