I think the trailers have made people think it's something it's not... If anything some might call it slow. If you didn't care about Caesar the movie wouldn't work unless it was turned into a "brainless action" movie...but the movie takes it's time and get's it right. I'd stop short of calling the movie great (it's very good) but what Andy Serkis and the writers did with Caesar is pure greatness.
