I thought this year's category division was a pretty big success. The artsier categories (score, cinematography) were voted on by far fewer people, only those that cared. Some people voted only on best picture and the leading actors.
I don't see how adding a category that most people would simply ignore anyway would hurt the proceedings as a whole
