You're trying to add an R. Kelly vibe to the story that is joked on but nonetheless doesn't exist
The fact that "but she was 17!!!!!!!!!" was joked on but not presented as a serious hindrance to Scott's (chaste) relationship with her
If it were she wouldn't have been presented in the end as a viable option for Scott to go back to
Stop trying to make this a moral issue; that's not what the movie's about. Clearly.
