Fred and Daphne probably were the rolling with the In Crowd, and whatnot, and Fred had a smoove ass van.

Then shit got REAL hectic when those 70's Gas prices kicked in, and his mystery business got a little tight.

So they had to hire Velma ( you know, the SMART one who figured all the shit out?), and that was MORE scratch that Fred didn't have; and let's face it, the motherfucker was NOT cut out for blue collar work. Daphne had no career skills and was SURELY helping Fred spend his money.


So one day, the three of them got bummed out and went to buy a bag from Shaggy. They didn't have the whole $20, so they had to come up with an exchange. Shaggy was out on the street, so he made the deal to let him crash with them for a night in exchange for a bag. The next morning, he pointed out that if they made it permanent, they could smoke for free and he could rest his head indoors for a change. The only catch was that he had to bring his dog.

They all said fuck it, and the rest is history.
