ronaldo's ahead, but he's also got a full 4 years of international play and other than this semifinal run, which we'll see how it goes when he faces germany, has basically been a part of a team as disappointing as messi's argentina. people here just give a shit about the euro more than they do copa america (where messi's gotten to a final, something ronaldo's never done, fwiw).

anyway, i was more talking about GOAT, which now is best portuguese player of his generation. kinda different terms. Eusebio's looking askance at best portuguese player, and we can all list 5 or 6 guys giving the eyebrow to the GOAT claim overall, even if we were avoiding the tired messi vs. ronaldo debate. i want to enjoy watching a historically amazing player when he's not playing for real madrid, but i just can't when i know all stah and brooklyn will be in here being all stah and brooklyn.
