97037, also, just in terms of running an offense Posted by Nodima, Fri Dec-09-11 06:12 AM
Chris Paul's had three coaches in his career, two of them in the last two seasons. He's an amazing playmaker and, maybe more importantly, he's recently grown accustomed to learning new systems on the fly.
Kobe's been playing under the triangle for what, a decade? He's played under 5 coaches but few of them had any positive influence on that team other than Jackson during Kobe's tenure, so isn't it in the Lakers' absolute best interest to have a point guard who's not only the best in the league at executing plays but spent the past couple years dealing with coaching adjustments leading the team through the switch from an offensive coach like Jackson to a defensive one like Brown?
And then you have to factor in that two of the more openly emotional players in the league are now playing for a team they know thinks they're expendable under the right circumstances...it's just a bummer for L.A. I hate to feel for them, but. Man.
