91898, no player in the game gets a double team every snap

welker gets bracketed in games, welker gets followed on defense by top cornerbacks when they play great teams. the jets tried not having revis follow welker around and he burned them so they had to move revis to focus on welker more. welker does a lot of his damage against zones and against blitzes.

and that's a bad thing?

a deep threat is only useful when the route is able to develop. welker's useful then + as a fantastic outlet on a hot read or a zone buster.

it's not a normal WR skill set for a #1, elite WR but he's so good at it that he is, indeed an elite wide receiver. you can keep screaming NO! NO! NO! but that's all you're doing.

stop being beholden to the deep threat WR. welker's putting up Harrison numbers with a couple fewer TDs (due to having an elite TE for Brady to focus on in the end zone). embrace it--he doesn't look the part, but he is.

and the more you cry out no, the more we'll respond and laugh. remember, we're the fans of the guy who is the #1 receiver on the afc's current #1 seed (albeit not that optimisitc about a super bowl because of the bad defense)

I have nothing to contribute here, just complaining.
