The intro alone could be discussed for hours. "I used to live" opens up a death issue to me and is further explained when connected to the the following "upstairs from God". The "upstairs" and the "from God" are screaming at me. Your vision to use parental overtones to support the undertones of finding self were equally as brilliant.
