On facebook and twitter where I use my real name and have friends and associates who are activist and more strident, and who were getting worked up over the use of the word "possible" hate crime, it probably would have lead to an argument that I wasn't that invested in to have. Easier to not say ish and just talk shit about it on the text chain with my boys.
