I don't think anyone was wrong for showing support when the word came out.

I don't think anyone was wrong for voicing their skepticism when it surfaced but I do more strongly feel like, what's really to gain by being the first to say, "this sounds fishy" rather than be quiet.

I think the worst are the folks who drew battlelines on day one and were heavy on trying to call people out.



Like this cat framed being silent on the case was tantamount to homophobia.

I mean there are lots of good points in the article but the whole article would have fallen apart if he acknowledged that some people might be silent because the story sounded like bullshit.

It's like there is competitive wokeness rushing to be "first".
