i've heard the same criticism levied @ Asians and Latinos who 'stick to their own kind'. i may have heard this b/c i have had Asian and Latino friends.

but yes, they get the shit too. they got it in college from ppl who felt some kinda way about them all sitting together - like we blacks tended to sit together. i heard it from ppl who felt some kinda way about them having their own parties - like we blacks had our own parties. i heard it from ppl who felt some kinda way about them having their own student orgs...et al.

i also hear it as an adult, of course. i've heard it from ppl who complain about Asian and Latino gays having their own orgs/parties. i hear it from ppl who complain about Asians and Latinos communicating w/each other in their foreign languages.

it ain't just us.
