'don't be from the suburbs and make your fortune clowning hood black folks and making us all look shiftless and trifling. especially when you do it to court white folks, who will only turn around and cosby us with it.'
which could be a valid critique, but if dave spent ANY time in d.c. in the eighties, he is very familliar with the hood, yo. d.c. was NOT A GAME then.
plus, most of the comedy i've seen him do about the hood seemed informed enough and sympathetic enough for me to give me a pass.
