It probably had nothing to do with his white wife, I agree.
Someone on my FB cited an article that said the audience was about 50/50 black and non-black. I still haven't seen any numbers for what the breakdown of the black audience was yet (that 61% number in the tweet cited above doesn't make sense for the reason I mentioned above.)
But Roland Martin isn't helping any of this. If people decided they didn't want to see the movie because of the rape case, that decision shouldn't be denigrated, dismissed or ridiculed.
