136350, You guys just never stop lol Posted by OldPro, Tue Jan-05-10 02:37 PM
make a comment and then when called on it ask another question
your statement was after "for you" prince was about as popular as van hunt. I just had a conversation this morning with my boy about going to a van hunt show later this month ... dude had no idea who van hunt even was. you would have been hard pressed to find a black person that listened to the radio in 1978 who didn't know who prince was. you're either playing up van's popularity or downplaying prince's ... either way you off base
and actually after checking on it your secondary argument won't even work. Prince's album broke into the top 100 while Van's never did. Even if you go just to the singles ... it was more about albums in 78 but we'll do this just for the sake of argument ... Prince was #12 and #91 on the R&B and Pop charts respectively, while Van never charted
bottom line .... you talking out your ass .... as usual _________________________________ Reunion Radio Weekly Podcasts 4 Decades of R&B/Funk/Soul
