..the flying and movement feels good ...but the objectives it had you do in the alpha were kind of boring and cliche ...the environment looks great though

Moreso, the first Iron Man, where the flying was fun, at least. The game overall was shit from a butt.

it's a little *better* than the sum of its parts in play. not sure about the story or the full-on arc of how playing it will go, but I had fun in the vip demo when it worked.

presuming they square away the connection issues I can recommend it.

Only way I got into matchmaking was to close the game and reopen it (then it asking me if I wanted to reconnect to my last session)

The demo story part was eh but the actual game play was fun. I want to see how the other suits are.

The fucking interceptor is badass!!!!

didn't navigate the screens well enough but unlocked the rest of them.

Liked the Storm the best but the interceptor is pretty bad ass. The colossus suit is a little squishy at first. I can see it being more of a tank once you get some components on it.

this shit is too epic to only experience it on console.
The combat alone......geez that shit is epic.

I get its a demo, but on PS4 I've had the game either hard crash or lock-up mid load after every single mission I've completed. The lack of spectating makes being downed a potentially game breaking slog if your matchmade mates don't prioritize revives and the guns just feel bland as hell. The powers are pretty cool but I haven't used anything other than base armor which sounds like the most bland? I just unlocked the other three but considering how often this game crashes or locks up on me, I think I'm done.


Maybe this game'll be great six months after it comes out but right now I'm not really seeing it. IDK how much the technical issues play into that but again, the basic gunplay feels generic and mushy compared to the weighty impact of Destiny or Red Dead. Considering the praise for Forsaken and all signs pointing to Division 2 being a huge improvement over an already popular game, I'm worried for Anthem and Bioware.

Some of the assets and combat mechanics from Mass Effect were implemented here. Proceed with that in mind.

seems like there is a hidden "game speed" setting and it's at 85% when it needs to be at 100%

there is a nice fluid feeling to moving around in this game. controls are intuitive too, which is a must for a new game like this

visually it's nice but overly busy. you should just be able to pick out the enemies from the backgrounds but you sometimes can't. the fact that they have to mark enemies with a red dot or giant icon over them seems like a concession to sticking with whatever visual design philosophy they have

i most likely will never play this game again. my guess is that the division 2 will deliver a similar shooting + loot experience and those devs have the benefits of learning from and building off of the first game

Maybe they right the ship but this looks like another bad EA launch.

I'm having a ball and think it's great. The guns feel fantastic. The powers are incredible and flying is so good. It's right up my alley I guess.

Once you get out of the tower and in your suit it's a really fun game.

I think if EA continues to tweak and has a steady stream of new content, this could keep people coming back

but tons of people on my friends list are playing. they're not obsessive about it, but switching back and forth between other games.

from hit detection, incoming and outgoing,
all the way to on screen detection of incoming damage.
Its kinda infuriating to not feel any vibration when you take damage but when you're downed you can feel footsteps from enemies and teammates in fine detail.

The field of view needs an adjustment also,
The enemies look tiny as fuck at midrange.
You cant pull off a headshot like you would be able to in Destiny
because the enemy design is kinda trash and the field of view may be sligtly too far.

Do I really really really need PS Now? I wanted to avoid paying for multiple online game services.

Other than that, I got through the intro and tutorial and like it better than the demo. I don’t remember the demo telling me exactly how to fly, I think I just intuited by button mashing. I haven’t chosen my javelin yet.

PS Now is the PlayStation game streaming service and yeah, you need PS Plus to play as its an always online game.
