I played all three character types evenly until House of Wolves dropped then Taken King and there was just too much stuff to do with a single character and still have time for work or a social life let alone three characters. I forgot about the whole characters carrying over thing several months into the game, and honestly wouldn't mind starting Destiny 2 with a fresh slate, on the same page as everyone else.

Part of what lost me during the expansions was how quickly people were figuring things out and how integral the raids were to having the full experience loot and power-wise, or how everyone knew what the coolest guns and armor was so there was very little mystery to whether this legendary heavy machine gun or that legendary fusion rifle was really all that rare or not. it didn't matter any more, just do the raid and infuse all the other stuff.


I've debated deleting a character and starting from scratch on current Destiny for a while, now, actually...
