mostly older, but some are sports fans and some aren't. It seems like such an odd phenomena (watching people video games? why not play it yourself?) but sports is always my go-to analogy.

And it makes sense. The only real difference is the medium, just one of many new industries enabled through the internet (Uber, Spotify, Twitter, etc.)
