Never gonna happen with COD's core userbase though. Sure, there are going to be little pockets of teamwork here and there when friends play together, but COD is largely an anonymous fanbase.

Just look at Battlefield 3, which has a very complentary class-based system, and see just how few people coordinate in general. Even for an objective-based game that did a number of things to encourage teamwork, you rarely see it emerge organically in public games.

For a game like COD which built its success almost as the antithesis to team-based gameplay, going too far in that direction would alienate and frustrate its core players.
