Hidden Halo 3 features, probably some nice multiplayer gear they kept hidden, but a real focus on the single player they have been hiding.

Pushing the fact that they've got games games games, with a heavy focus on the exclusive's they've stolen from sony.

Personally, im hoping for some new live features

id be surprised if they were hiding any more up their sleeve, save for like the MGS4 rumors.

I don't think they are gonna lower the prices yet, imho the best strategy is to just wait and see how PS3 does with theirs and then react in kind in September so you can ride on through the holidays and the windfall of game releases they have lined up.

Im hoping for more upgrades, like I said some new live stuff, maybe an upgrade for the whole line of xboxes(maybe up the premium to like 40 gigs, or maybe make everything hdmi and just make the harddrive the deciding price factor, etc)

but i really dont like that.

i dropped a lot of money on it when it came out, its not something i want to buy again for new bells and whistles.

yeah they have some great games coming out.... but everything they showed me tonight I had seen and already knew (for the most part).

Assassins Creed and COD4 were dope, but not 360 exclusive.

RE4 was dope, but it was still a short tease.

Namco has finally confirmed that the second installment in the insanely successful Katamari series, Beautiful Katamari will only be available on the Wii and Xbox 360.

In the past, Katamari was a Sony title, but apparently the abject failure of the PS3 bummed Namco out enough that they had to take their big rolling ball elsewhere.

Namco is citing "programming difficulties" as the reason the game won't be available on the PS3, but we all know that's like saying "It's not you; it's me."

i didn't realize how deep the skill system was going to be. i've toyed with a few different setups for each of the characters and there are a ton of possibilities with this system

also the graphics are really tremendous. i wasn't *too* impressed with some of the spell effects but that's really the only complaint i have (there's a little slowdown and some tearing but it's pretty negligible). everything else looks spectacular

i'm actually kind of mad i played it because now the wait for the release is even more agonizing...

...Ahhhh FF7 haha.

I just feel they've been outplayed by Nintendo and out engineered by Sony.

The problem with this is that if they come last again this gen (which they will, truss me fam), I think it means they'll have to pull out of the console business...and that will royally suck for gamers because we'll be stuck dancing to Sony's tune forever. I'M POSTING FROM THE BREAK ROOM IN AMAZON NEGRO. I have personally "picked" ONE. O-N-E PS3 to be placed on the conveyor off to go to a customer in my entire time here. From THIS distribution center, (the second biggest one), they don't out more than 4 or 5 a day.

Sony needs to find that reason quick because as good as Resistance was, it wasn't the reason.

I saw Nintendo doing this. But i'm satisfied with the conference. Smash is online, Mario Kart will be online. Zelda for DS looks on point. Metroid for Wii looks on point. The Zapper is back. I'm all set.

also, most game developers when working on ports only work on it using one or the other console's hardware. Mostly being the xbox360 hardware since it's a lot easier to work it's way around.

The new 80 GBs will not have the PS2 chip. Instead they will use a emulator b/c its cheaper so it will have the same issues as Xbox 360 when it comes to BC.

I can see them discontinuing the 60 GB in the future or take out the chip in the new shipments of them.

The 80 GB PS3 is much cheaper to make than the 60 GB PS3. So they will probably produce the 60 GB like they do 80 GB. Without the PS2 chip. Which will pretty much crush backwards compatibility just like the 360.

Konami just reconfirmed it at their press conference just now. If you want MGS4, just get a PS3. It seems that their big announcement was Silent Hill 5 for the PS3 and Xbox360.

square enix wont release anything on ps3 this financial year. which i i think ends march of 08. so some people think its coming in april 1st of 08 but thats just a guess nothing has been said to confirm that. even with the price cut the some square enix said the ps3 is still too expensive and they want it in more homes.

I would have thought they would have at least did what they said they would do this E3 and at least have a new trailer or demo up. Maybe they're saving it for the 17th at TGS07.

At least Nintendo's changes improved the gaming experience, which was their focus anyway. They gave it a brighter screen, smaller with better buttons and a longer battery life.

Also, the DS Lite sold for the same price as the original DS...not in a bundle for $30 more.

If this is true, something tells me that it will go to the 360 and PS3. If it only goes to the PS3 (and the rumors are true), looks like I will be throwing down that $500.

that definitely sounds like something being announced at TGS for sure though. I wouldn't mind seeing a next-gen Suikoden seeing as how 3 and 5 were really good looking games.

Ok, this jawn was kinda lame all around keynote wise.

I guess years with no new systems are always like that, but I wanted some surprises.

That said, there is a ton of shit coming out for PS3, so I'm gonna have to break down and cop one of em pretty soon. Warhawk and Lair look sick. So do Little Big Planet and Killzone. Overall I liked their games the most this year, and with the five free Blu-Rays and the price drop they've sold me if I can find enough shit to trade in (I wonder if that $100 off with a PS2 is gonna stay in effect).

Smash Bros is gonna be awesome, and I'm pretty damn tempted to import Zelda for DS. Not sure about NiGHTs though...didn't really look fun to me. Metroid and Galaxy tho...I can fuck with those...and of course Mario Kart in early 08. I may even fuck around and buy Madden for Wii if the 360 version is going to keep using the same fucked up engine instead of the one from the Xbox/PS2/Cube era.

Can't fuckin wait for PGR4 and Halo 3. I'll have to download the Blue Dragon demo too. Outside of that, I didn't see much I wanted from MS, but they kinda cater to a different audience and I'm sure they'll be happy with the offering.


I'm probably still gonna cop the new PSP when it drops, but damnit, I'm not happy about it. Also, that shit is gonna KILL their sales until the new ones come out. They should have either started selling em at the end of the month or just not said anything. I hope they got the demo on easy mode cause those enemies are just chillin while you attack them. Same thing with the Heavenly Sword demo. I want that Ninja Gaiden ruthlessness!

they have the difficulty on easy and cheats on if they are playing the game live. you dont want to keep dying under the pressure of the spotlight when you are trying to show off the game.
